The Hungarian government has donated 100,000 face masks and 5,000 items of protective clothing to North Macedonia to help that country fight against the novel coronavirus epidemic, Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said in Skopje.

He noted that Hungary has purchased a production line from China to make masks and mass production will start soon. Assistance to the western Balkans region is crucial because “if they weaken they cannot effectively withstand the pressure of migration”, Szijjártó said.
