Chief Medical Officer: Hungarian infection rate close to European average


According to the World Health Organisation, Hungary’s coronavirus infection rates are close to the European Union average, Hungary’s chief medical officer said.

Among European Union member states, Hungary is tenth regarding the number of infections in one million people, and 14th regarding the number of deaths, Cecília Müller said. She added that the number of infections is growing worldwide, including Hungary.
