Last week, a 94-year-old woman was found dead in her home in Hegymeg (Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county).
Police have launched an investigation, and a 51-year-old man has already been questioned as a suspect. Later, the man’s sibling was also caught by the police. Both of them are suspected perpetrators of the murder.
According to the available information, the men entered the house through the window, the 94-year-old victim was lying in her bed. The old woman recognized the suspects, she was shouting for help, but her attackers grabbed her and hit her several times. After the victim lost consciousness, they searched the house and left with 100,000 forints in cash. The woman who was left alone suffered rib fractures, bruises, and died of her injuries on the spot.
