The 35-year-old man might be sentenced for two to eight years’ imprisonment for sexually assaulting a 30-year-old woman in her 23rd week of pregnancy in Miskolc on Monday afternoon. Blikk magazine has learned from the Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County Police that the man suspected of violence is a soldier.

A pregnant woman in her 30s was reported to be on her way home from work on Monday afternoon at around 5 p.m. She got off the bus when a man began to follow her. The man grabbed her from behind, pulled her to the ground, and began to strangle her so she couldn’t call for help.

Despite the violence, the woman began to shout out for help, for which the man began to pull the woman lying on the floor to a wooded area. The pregnant woman kept trying to resist, and also managed to call the emergency center. The man was frightened by this, stopped the violence, then took the woman’s phone and bag and fled.

The Miskolc police arrested the man the next day, who later complained to the investigating prosecutor’s office against the detention order and denied the crime. His arrest will be decided on Friday.

The pregnant woman has since been examined by her doctor and the doctor found that her baby was not injured.
