The Ministry of Rural Development sees the Faculty of Agriculture of UD as a strategic partner. As Gyula Budai told at the inauguration ceremony of the new local water management and irriogation center, the agricultural faculty is the base of ministry programs.
The new center is unique in Europe – it will provide farmers with weather and water utilization data that would help to develop the conditions of safe farming, efficient crop protection and economical irrigation.
The State Secretary also talked about the intention of the ministry: they wish to “take back” the agricultural higher education from the State Secretary for Education.
